High Point of Radial Runout: RHP Super Precision bearings are marked at the point of maximum ring thickness. The high point of radial runout is indicated by a small circle or burnished spot on the inner ring face and by a ‘V’ line on the outside diameter of the outer ring. The bearings can then be mounted with these marks axially aligned with each other and opposed to the shaft or housing eccentricities in order to minimise assembled runout. The ‘V’ line on the outer ring indicates the direction of the contact angle.
